Ashley Bach, 18, is the daughter of Jim and Schellie Bach.  She graduated with honors from Willmar Senior High School.  She was a captain of the Cross Country and Track teams and was the Junior Varsity Cardette Dance Team Captain.  Ashley was a member of Honors Choir, Worship Band, Key Club, On-Call, Winged Foot Running Club, Lions Service, Minnesota Education, KMS Freedom, Senior Physical Education and Royal Scholarships.  She was awarded “Most Dedicated” for Cross Country and received the Physical Fitness award for Junior Miss. She volunteers at Children’s Church, the Church Nursery, Vocation Bible School, and went on three mission trips to build and repair houses. Ashley attends Bethel University with a major in Elementary Education.  She is employed by Willmar Community Education and Recreation Department, Jake’s Pizza, Weddings on First, and Bethel Universities Childhood Development Center.  Ashley is sponsored by Weddings on First.

Bethany Pollock, 19, is the daughter of Tim and Stacy Pollock.  She is the 2009 honors graduate of Willmar High School.  She was a member of the swimming and diving teams, 212 gymnastics and Wings gymnastics and was 3A diver of the year.  Bethany is now attending Minnesota State University Moorhead, where she is a member of the diving team.  She is studying mass communications with an emphasis in public relations.  Bethany is employed by McMillians Family Restaurant in Willmar and Chili’s of Fargo, ND.  In her spare time she enjoys rollerblading, spending time with friends and being at the lake.  Bethany’s Willmar Fests sponsor is Rent-A-Guy.

Brianna Johnson, 19, is the daughter of Kari and Eric Means and Kurt Johnson.  She graduated from Willmar Senior High School in 2009.  After a year at Ridgewater College, Brianna plans to transfer to University of Minnesota Duluth in the fall.  She is working towards a degree in psychology with a minor in Spanish, in hopes of becoming an adolescent counselor or a career in social work.  In high school, Brianna played volleyball and basketball, and was very active in youth group at the Willmar United Methodist Church for which she went on four mission trips.  She now volunteers as a church youth leader, a Sunday School teacher.  She is currently employed by Bethesda Heritage in Willmar and coached Junior Olympic Volleyball last spring.  She enjoys any sport or outside activity, helping out at church, and spending time with her family and friends.  Brianna’s Willmar Fests sponsor is Conway Deuth & Schmiesing

Chayla Johannsen is the 19 year old daughter of Lawrence Smith, Jr. and Jill Roschild.  Chayla graduated from Willmar Senior High School in 2009, with honors.  During her time in high school, she was a member of National Honors Society.  Currently Chayla attends the College of St. Scholastica where she is majoring in psychology and is also involved in multicultural club.  She volunteers as a Sunday School teacher, a small group leader and a member of the church choir.  Chayla enjoys knitting, watching movies and spending time with friends.  She is employed by Wal-Mart.  Chayla is sponsored by Slumberland Furniture.

Destinee Stamer, 19, is the daughter of Michael and Deanna Stamer.  She graduated from Willmar Senior High School in 2009 with high honors and finished her first year at St. Thomas this spring.  She is pursuing a degree in secondary education with a focus in communication and speech.  During high school, Destinee was very active in Yearbook, Key Club, Student Council, and National Honor Society and participates with Students for Justice and Peace at St. Thomas.  She volunteers as a church confirmation leader and a peer mentor.  She enjoys traveling, biking, reading, playing with animals, and spending time with family and friends.  Destinee is sponsored by En-Tel Communications.

Emily Nelsen is 19 years old and the daughter of Paul and Audrey Nelsen.  She is a 2009 high honors graduate of Willmar Senior High School where she was a three sport captain for the volleyball, basketball and golf teams.  She was a member of the National Honors Society, Central Lakes Conference Scholar Athlete Honor Role, and was All Conference for volleyball.  She is now attending Gustavus Adolphus College majoring in public accounting in hopes of becoming a CPA.  In her spare time, she volunteers for the Church Choir, Sunday School, and the Special Olympics.  Emily is employed by the Dorthy Olson Aquatic Center and Willmar Community Education and Recreation.  Her sponsor is MinnWest Technology Campus.

Gina Hay, 19, is the 2009 graduate of Willmar Senior High School.  She is the daughter of Bob and Chantell Hay.  In high school, she participates on the varsity Cardette Dance Team, Business Professionals of America, and Prom Committee.  She is currently attending Ridgewater College where she participates in Business Professionals of America, and is working towards a degree in healthcare administration.   In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with family and friends, dancing, laughing, shopping and traveling.  She is employed by Culvers in Willmar.  Gina is sponsored by Affiliated Community Medical Center.

Kadyn Wittman is 19 and the daughter of Lynden and Linda Wittman.  She graduated from Willmar Senior High School in 2009.  While in high school she was involved in Speech, Key Club, Mock Trial, Knowledge Bowl, and Youth in Government.  She was awarded a leadership scholarship, and as an Orchestra Leader.  She also volunteers for Vacation Bible School.  Kadyn now attends Augustana College seeking a degree in history and sociology to pursue a career in museum science or marriage counseling.  She is employed by Dorthy Olson Aquatic Center, and Herberger’s in Willmar.  Kadyn’s sponsor is Bremer Bank.

Katie Kroona is the 19 year old daughter of Jay and Cynthia Kroona.  She graduated from Willmar Senior High School in 2009.  During her high school years, she was a member of Key Club, National Honors Society, Spanish Club, Prom Committee, and is now a member of Augustana’s Homecoming Committee.  Katie was also the captain for both the golf and swim teams.  She volunteers as a DARE role model, a life guard for the Green Lake Triathlon, a student retreat leader and for the St. Lucia Day Queen.  She is currently attending Augustana College for a degree in biology and business administration, and plans to continue her education after graduation to become an optometrist.  She is currently employed by the YMCA as a life guard and Day Camp Counselor and by Advanced Eye Care Clinic.  Katie’s sponsor is Heritage Bank.

Kelsey Evans is 19 years old and the daughter of Carrie Smith and Steve Evans.  She is the 2009 graduate of Willmar Senior High School where she was a three sport athlete.  She was involved in volleyball, basketball and track, Spanish club and student council.  She was all conference for volleyball and basketball, all state for basketball, a 1000 point scorer for basketball and was nominated as a Ms. Basketball candidate her senior  year.  She currently attends Briar Cliff University working towards a degree in journalism before she continues her education to earn her masters in journalism.  At Briar Cliff, Kelsey is a member of the basketball team. During her free time, she volunteers as a Sunday School teacher.  She enjoys rollerblading, hanging out with friends, scrapbooking and playing sports.  Kelsey is sponsored by The Oaks at Eagle Creek.

Madelyn Anderson, 19, is the daughter of Dana and Becky Anderson.  She is the 2009 honor graduate of Willmar Senior High School.  She is attending the University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in psychology.  In High School, She was a member of Business Professionals of America and Student Council and was voted a homecoming candidate by her peers.  She volunteers as a mentor through the YMCA.  Madelyn is currently employed as a Mary Kay consultant.  During her free time she enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and attending sporting events.  Madelyn is sponsored by Cash Wise Foods.

Megan Michaelis, 19, is the daughter of Steven and Joann Michaelis. She is the 2009 graduate of Willmar Senior High School.  She was a member of the swimming, softball, color guard and dance teams, where she was a captain for both the swimming and color guard teams.  Megan currently attends the College of St. Scholastica where she is majoring in Nursing and minoring in Psychology.  She volunteered for vacation bible school, relay for life and church choir.  Megan was awarded the Civic Scholarship for academics.  She is employed by Sibley State Park.  In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, biking, playing Wii, hanging out with family and friends, rollerblading and dancing.  Megan’s sponsor is Cub Foods.

Shelby Morton, 18, is the daughter of Lori Morton and Steve Kotzenmacher and Scott and Monique Morton.  She graduated from Willmar Senior High School with honors in 2009 and finished her first year at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities.  She is pursuing a degree in law.  During high school, Shelby was involved with the Cardette dance line, swim team, track and field, Jazz Band, Key Club and Business Professionals of America. She was awarded with the Jim Helin award, Excel award, school records for track and field, All Conference and Section Champion for track and field.  She was also awarded best of site in the Jazz Band.  At the U of M, Shelby is involved as an Admissions Ambassador, Student Advisory Board, Vice President on Pioneer Community Council, Intramural Bowling, and Intramural Broomball.  She enjoys volunteering, rock climbing, hiking, piano, guitar, running, dancing, and traveling.  Shelby is sponsored by Mills Auto.

Tiffany Bjork, 18, is the daughter of Griffin and Deb Bjork.  She graduated from Willmar Senior High School in 2009.  Tiffany plans to attend Ridgewater College in the fall for a degree in art and design.  In High School, Tiffany was involved in Advanced Hunters Education Program.  She is currently employed by Herberger’s in Willmar.  She enjoys art, photography, hockey, scrapbooking, baking, fishing and hunting.  Tiffany’s Willmar Fests sponsor is Ridgewater College.
